It is with a heavy heart that I inform the Hills Barbarians Community of the passing of Rob McLean.
Rob has played with the Barbarians for near on 30 years with multiple stints between jobs that demanded Saturday work. Rob completed 17 seasons as a cricketer playing in the high B Grades as an accomplished batsman and more recently assisted the A Reserve premiers for 2023-24.
Rob served on the cricket clubs committee for 5 seasons, 1 in general committee, 2 as Vice President and 2 as President. He was a great mate and a loved Barbarian.
Rob will be remembered at a service with Alan Drew Funerals on the 12th April @ 2pm in the Chapel. Afterwards there will be a celebration of Rob’s life at Muirfield Golf Club.
