Circular 2/2025-26

10/09/2025

CIRCULAR[ TO ALL CLUBS and CAPTAINS

Welcome to Parramatta District Cricket Association’s 107th season of cricket.

DRAWS: The draws are finalised and loaded onto PlayHQ. Any errors or problems, advise me asap.

GROUNDS: Please check prior to each match for late ground changes for all divisions. Ground changes may be emailed to clubs up until Friday evenings. Some grounds are unavailable for the first week(s) of the season due to maintenance etc.

AMENITIES ACCESS: Is the home team’s responsibility. If keys or codes are needed, let me know.

GROUND MAINTENANCE: The home team (not the councils) must ensure that crease markings and stump box level are satisfactory for every match. Both should be checked pre-season & throughout the season, and maintained. Boundary markers, per P.D.C.A. rules are required every 10 metres.

LATE REGISTRATION: by email to the PDCA Registrar with a reply emailed acceptance is required for every player who was not listed on the Team Nomination form submitted pre-season.

PLAYER UMPIRES: No byes or Player Umpire duties for A Grade, A Res, B1 & B2. Every other grade has bye rounds and umpire duty. The schedule is on the P.D.C.A. website, under the Resources/Umpires tab. Competition point and financial penalties ($500 per instance) will apply for failing to fulfil duty.

PDCUA official Umpires will be appointed to each A, A Res and B1match (subject to availability). They will also be appointed to all other grades on a rotating basis. The player umpire scheduled to stand in a match that also has an official PDCUA Umpire appointed, must still attend and umpire at Square Leg.

OFFICIAL UMPIRE FEEDBACK: Where PDCUA Umpires are appointed to any match, both team’s Captains or Managers will be required to supply feedback on their umpire. This will be a simple multiple-choice form on a link on our app and website. Feedback is compulsory and will assist in future umpire allocations and training. Further information to be provided at the seminars.
